India vs West indies: Ishant Sharma can become India's most successful pacer

Ishant Sharma has taken a total of 275 wickets in 91 Tests so far. He has taken 155 wickets out of Asia. If Ishant Sharma takes a single wicket in the second Test match, then the most wicket-taker outside Asia will become the Indian fast bowler.

In the case of taking wickets out of Asia, Anil Kumble is at number one among the Indian fast bowlers. He has taken 200 wickets in 50 such matches.

After them Ishant Sharma and Kapil Dev are on par with 155-155 wickets. Interestingly, both bowlers have taken these wickets in 45-45 matches. Now, if Ishant takes a single wicket in the second Test match, then Kapil will overtake Dev.

Among Indian bowlers, Zaheer Khan is at number four in terms of taking the most wickets outside Asia. He has taken 147 wickets in 38 such matches. Harbhajan Singh has taken 117 wickets in 32 matches out of Asia. Ashwin has taken 65 wickets in 20 Tests.

Ishant Sharma is in good form these days. He took 8 wickets in the first Test match of India vs West Indies. Thanks to his performance, India won this match by 318 runs.

Talking about the overall record, Anil Kumble is India's most successful bowler. He has taken 619 wickets in Test cricket. He is third in the world in terms of most wickets. Muthiah Muralitharan (800) is first and Shane Warne (708) is second.


If we talk about Indian fast bowlers, Ishant Sharma is third in terms of maximum wickets. The great all-rounder Kapil Dev is at number one in this case. He has taken 434 wickets, which was a world record at one time.

Zaheer Khan (31) with 311 wickets and Ishant Sharma (275) are at number three. Ishant Sharma needs 37 wickets to overtake Zaheer.
