ICC fined the team of banglades. ICC cut the match fee due to the slow over rate of Bangladesh team.
Because it was less than two overs by the number of required overs during the match.

In the match played in Colombo on Friday, Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 91 runs.

In the captaincy of Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh team proved to be lousy ahead of the Sri Lankan team.

Due to not being able to finish the overs determined by Bangladesh, match referee Chris Broad considered it a violation of the rule and imposed a match fee on the Bangladeshi team.

Bangladesh team captain Tamim fined 40% of the match fee and fined 20% on the rest of the team.

In the match, Tamim had a captain as captain. He became the 14th player to be captain from Bangladesh. In which Bangladesh had to face a bad defeat.
