Copa America 2020: Copa America 2020 will have two Joint Hosts- Argentina and Colombia

The South American football's continental governing body CONMEBOL affirmed that joint-has Colombia will be the scene of the 2020 Copa America last and uncovered the opening match will be played in Argentina.

Colombian President Ivan Duque declared a week ago that the last would be held in Colombia, with the civic chairman of Barranquilla uncovering it would happen in that Caribbean port city.

The 2020 Copa America will start its new release on June 12, 2020 in Argentina, and crown its new mainland champions in Colombia" on July 12, said CONMEBOL in an announcement.

It will be the first run through in the 103-year history of football's most established mainland national groups rivalry that two nations have the competition.

The Northern Nations - Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela - playing in Colombia And
The Southern Groups - Argentina, Bolivia, Chile,Uruguay,Chile and Paraguay playing their matches in Argentina.

The two visitor countries, Australia and Qatar, will be doled out to a district sometime in the future.

There will be two gatherings of six groups playing each other once in a round robin position, which means each group is ensured in any event five matches, as opposed to the three they had in the current Copa version in Brazil, where there were three gatherings of four groups. The main four in each gathering will meet all requirements for the quarter-finals.

"The new organization will enable each national group to play at any rate five matches in the closest host nation to them," said CONMEBOL. Two quarter-finals and one semi-last will be held in each host nation.

It will be the second progressive year that the competition is played as CONMEBOL has chosen to adjust the Copa America to the European Championships, to be played at regular intervals and two years separated from the World Cup. All through a large portion of its history the Copa America has been played in odd years.
