He was New Zealand’s coach for 6 years. In his coaching, Kiwi team reached the 2015 World Cup finals.

Then he lost in the final against Australia. Last year, he resigned from the post of coach. After this, he coached Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Mike Hesson and his agent have read the rules and requirements of the Board for the post of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Both of them are continuously talking on this. Mike Hesson will soon send his application to the BCCI. While applying for a post of coach, Hesson will also have to give an affidavit related to conflict of interest.

Kirsten applied for the women’s coach’s position when he was the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Although Kirsten was the first choice of BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), the rules did not come true and he could not get the post.

The current coach Ravi Shastri’s tenure ended after the World Cup. His term extended for the West Indies tour Shastri will not have to apply. They will give direct interviews.
