Ambati Rayudu, who retired after getting angry after not being selected in the World Cup team, has changed his mind. Rayudu announced his retirement on July 3. Not even two months have passed since this emotional decision. But now he wants to return from retirement and play cricket again. Rayudu, 33, has written to Hyderabad Cricket Association for this.
Ambati Rayudu was an important part of the Indian team till six months ago. He was being described as the best batsman of the number-4 for the ICC World Cup by the captain, coach and chief selector. But when the team was announced on April 15, then Vijay Shankar was included in the team in his place. It was said that Vijay Shankar is a player with three dimensions. Rayudu then tweeted by tweeting that he is asking for 3D glasses to watch the World Cup.
Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement before the World Cup ended. On this, Chief Selector MSK Prasad said that he thoroughly enjoyed 3D glasses. According to the website Cricinfo, Amati Rayudu has written a letter to the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) amid this sentence. Rayudu wrote that it was an emotional decision and now he wants to play in all three formats of cricket.
In a letter to HCA, Rayudu said, “They would like to thank Chennai Super Kings, VVS Laxman and Noel David on this occasion.” They all supported me in difficult times. All these made me realize that I still have a lot of cricket left and I can play ahead. ‘Rayudu said,’ I am ready to play for Hyderabad. I will be available to play for Hyderabad team from September 10.
Hyderabad’s Chief Selector Noel David said about this, ‘This is good news for us. There is still at least 5 years of cricket left in Rayudu. They can teach a lot to young players. Without him, we had to struggle a lot in the Ranji Trophy last year. Our class and experience will benefit our team. ‘
Ambati Rayudu has played 55 ODIs and 6 T20 matches. He has scored 1694 runs in ODIs with the help of three centuries and 10 half-centuries.
His average is 47.05, which is considered very spectacular in terms of ODI cricket. He has not been successful in T20 Internationals and has scored only 42 runs in 6 matches. However, his record in IPL is excellent. He plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
