Novak Djokovic has reached in Semifinal in Wimbledon 2019
Novak Djokovic entered the semi-finals of the Wimbledon tennis tournament for the ninth time by winning his 70th win at the All England Club here on Wednesday.
World number one player returned good after losing the serve once in the first set and beat Belgium’s 21st seed David Goffin 6-4, 6-0, 6-2.
Djokovic will have to compete with Roberto Batista Agut of Spain to make it to the final.
This 23rd seed defeated Argentine 26th seed Guido Pala 7-5, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
Djokovic initially had to struggle a bit, but after achieving rhythm he showed ruthlessness towards his opponent.
He won 15 of the last 17 games and made 36th place in the semi-finals of any Grand Slam tournament.
Goffin started well and broke Djokovic’s service 4-3, but Djokovic won nine consecutive games after this. And then easily won the match and stepped into the semi-finals.
Djokovic became the world’s third tennis player in the ninth time to reach Wimbledon semi-finals Goffin was defeated in one hour and 57 minutes and out of the tournament.
Novak Djokovic has won 12 Grand Slam titles. Earlier, American legend Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer of Switzerland reached the semifinals of this tournament 9 or more times.
